My trip was more than I could ever have imagined it would be! Springdale is adorable. The Bumbleberry Inn was perfect for me. Everyone was so friendly. I reached the top of Angles Landing and carried on and did a portion of the West Rim Trail. I hiked Observation Point and Hidden Canyon, The Emerald Pools, The Watchman Trail, The Riverside Walk. I checked out the Weeping Rock and the Court of the Patriarchs. I even went canyoneering for an afternoon with a guide from Zion Adventures Company, it was just the two of us. On top of all that, I drove the Mt Camel Highway then hiked Peekaboo Loop and Queens Garden in Bryce and drove the scenic highway there right to the end at Rainbow Point. I enjoyed some great pizza, steaks, burgers and even tried some locally brewed beer. The only thing I didn’t get to do was hike The Narrows, it was at a dangerous level. I did stand in the edge of it though for about 10 seconds, just to say I was in it.
I really enjoyed being on my own and would go that route again. I like how my canyoneering guide expressed it he said “you are upping your game and growing as an adventurer”!
Thank you for all the advice you passed along! When I am ready for my next USA National Park visit, I’m sure I will have questions for you!
Sounds like a great trip, Andra. I’ve been reading about it on your blog. The canyoneering looks like lots of fun! I’m sorry you missed the Narrows…I have been to Zion twice, and the first time I hiked it, the second time the water levels were too high and fast, so I understand your disappointment! Let me know whenever you have other questions.
I caught the bug in Zion now I want to visit Arches National Park!
Andra, how was your trip! I can’t wait to hear about it!
