The trail down to the closest viewpoint at Lower Yellowstone Falls, Yellowstone National Park, WY, circa September 2, 2004. Yes, you then have to go back up, but you’re so amazed you don’t think about it as work anymore. At least, I didn’t.

Wow! What a breathtaking photograph.
I remember going there as a kid, the biggest hill where I lived was 500 feet high and made you dizzy to stand on top of it. The Rocky Mountains and Yellowstone were too much to absorb, so many new things I don’t think I have many clear memories of that trip at all. But I’ve been back, the Falls are always a must-see.
